This modern museum in Burgos shows us where we come from, who we are and what the future possibilities may be for our species and our planet. In the permanent exhibition you can see some of the most important original fossils discovered at the archaeological sites of the Sierra de Atapuerca. You will also learn how life developed and evolved, how human evolution took place and how humans learned to make tools, control fire, develop spoken language and express themselves through art. The museum also offers a variety of workshops for children and families, as well as fascinating temporary exhibitions. It is an ideal museum for exploring some of humanity’s biggest questions together as a family.
