Salardú, in the heart of the Val d’Aran, is a beautiful setting for a Marco Topo adventure. Families and school groups can discover its history, architecture and traditions while solving challenges, observing the spectacular landscape and learning actively. This interactive game invites children and adults to join Marco Topo on a route filled with clues, questions and discoveries. Across twelve stops, participants explore Salardú’s most emblematic places. At Era Querimònia they discover the origins of Aranese self-government, while in Plaça Major they meet the curious wild-boar sculpture, a local symbol and affectionate nickname for residents. The route also reveals traditional architecture, details of the Town Hall, defensive walls, the Portalet de Pallars and the cemetery tower. Visiting the impressive Church of Sant Andreu, both inside and out, introduces treasures such as the Romanesque Christ of Salardú and Renaissance wall paintings. Popular culture and traditional trades also feature. At Era Mòla mill, players discover how grain was ground using the waters of the River Garonne.
