The Marco Topo game in Huércal-Overa introduces you to the main monuments of this town in eastern Almería, in lands occupied by the El Argar culture in prehistoric times and later used by Phoenicians, Greeks and Carthaginians. The adventure guides you through churches and hermitages where you will see some of the images carried in the Holy Week processions of Huércal-Overa, a Festival of National Tourist Interest renowned for the splendour and richness of the processional floats of its main brotherhoods. You will also explore Adolfo Suárez Park, home to many animals, and part of the Greenway created along the former railway line. At the Water Museum, you will discover different irrigation and water-extraction systems used in the area since ancient times. The adventure culminates at the Castle, a Nasrid tower built in the 14th century to watch the kingdom's frontier against Christian attacks. Inside you can see a unique drawing known as the Tree of Life, whose distinctive nature has made it one of the symbols of Huércal-Overa.
