Environmental education plays an important role at places such as San Miguel Beach, the Punta Entinas-Sabinar viewpoint and the Punta Entinas-Sabinar Interpretation Centre. Here, players discover unique ecosystems, birds such as flamingos, Posidonia seagrass meadows and the importance of protecting Mediterranean coastal biodiversity. The route also travels back in time at historic sites such as Guardias Viejas Castle, an 18th-century defensive fortress, Balerma Tower, linked to coastal watch against pirate attacks, and the Ciavieja archaeological site, which reveals traces of cultures that inhabited the area from Prehistory to Roman times. The experience is completed with visits to the Mediterranean Garden, devoted to native flora and sustainability, and the Family Park, designed for leisure, sport and community life.
