The Marco Topo interactive game in Talavera de la Reina offers a new attraction for family tourism and school visits. It is an educational exploration game that allows primary-school groups and families with children aged 5 to 12 to move independently around Talavera's historic centre and take a self-guided visit, with gamified exploration challenges that highlight the town's rich historical and cultural heritage. The route is marked on a paper map with 12 challenges. Their content is accessed through a web app where different puzzles and questions encourage children to explore and discover Talavera's heritage in an educational and fun way. The game visits landmarks such as the albarrana towers, the Roman bridge, Plaza del Pan, Plaza del Reloj and the Prado gardens. Other important locations include the Ethnographic Museum, Ruiz de Luna Museum, Basilica of El Prado and the Collegiate Church. The game guides families through Talavera's historic centre while offering interesting snippets about the city's Muslim and Roman heritage, its civil and religious art, traditional trades and festivals, and its handmade ceramics, recognised as World Heritage.
