Across two urban routes, children and adults discover some of Miranda’s most emblematic places while solving challenges, observing heritage details and learning stories connected with the city. The game proposes two routes, Aquende and Allende, allowing visitors to explore Miranda on both sides of the River Ebro. Each route has ten locations and combines historical, artistic, cultural and natural content adapted for families. On the Aquende route, families begin at CIMA and the Botanical Garden, climb to the Castle, discover the former Sacred Hearts convent, and visit Plaza de España, Casa de las Cadenas, Casa de los Urbina, the Apollo Theatre, the Church of Santa María, Charles III Bridge and the Church of Espíritu Santo. It is an ideal route for discovering the historic centre, the city’s medieval past and some of its most representative buildings. The Allende route continues the adventure through places such as Plaza Cervantes, the Vivir Miranda roundabout, the monument to the Sanjuaneros, the historic steam locomotive, the building at Calle Almacenes 5, the food market, Antonio Machado Park, the regional government building, the railway station and the Memory Spaces. This route introduces the importance of the railway, popular festivals, local commerce, urban growth and Miranda’s historical memory. The activity is designed so participants observe, search for clues and answer questions about the places they visit. Each stop therefore reveals part of Miranda’s identity: the River Ebro, the Camino de Santiago, religious heritage, civil architecture, the San Juan del Monte festivities, the railway and democratic memory. The game invites visitors to see Miranda de Ebro with fresh eyes. It is a different way to walk around the city, learn as a family and enjoy its outdoor heritage.
