Located in the heart of the Sierras Subbéticas Natural Park in Córdoba, Carcabuey is a beautiful white village that surprises visitors with both its historic heritage and the spectacular landscapes around it. Marco and Marta Topo’s adventure in Carcabuey offers two routes for family tourism: one around the main monuments in the town centre and another along the local Green Route of Springs and Fountains. The Castle, the Chapel of San Marcos and the Church of the Assumption are among the landmarks visited in the village. The walking route, meanwhile, passes some of the many springs and fountains that rise in the municipality and crosses extensive olive groves that produce an extra virgin olive oil regarded as one of the finest in the world. Quince orchards, irrigation channels, old mills and different fountains accompany you along this route around the outskirts of Carcabuey.
