Discover Castro-Urdiales by playing
Marco and Marta Topo prepared the Castro-Urdiales adventure in collaboration with the Town Council. The Topo siblings love the sea and are dressed in the traditional style once worn by local rowers and fishermen. The evil Topo Loco has captured the Flopis in 12 places around Castro-Urdiales. Families who want to help Marco and Marta must visit the locations marked on their maps and solve the challenges until every Flopi has been freed. You are sure to enjoy this entertaining walk through Castro-Urdiales. The seafront has some truly impressive buildings, and there is always something special about looking out over the sea. It is well worth wandering through the narrow streets of the old town. Who knows, perhaps a distracted Flopi is eating pintxos on Calle Ardigales or strolling beneath the arcades of La Correría in Plaza Mayor. Marco Topo loves archaeology and will surely encourage you to visit the remains of the Roman colony of Flaviobriga preserved beneath the old town. This colony was one of the main ports on the maritime trade route between northern Hispania and Gaul. The game visits the Church of Santa María de la Asunción, considered the finest Gothic building in Cantabria. On its façade you can see traces of an important episode in the history of Castro-Urdiales: the fighting that took place when French troops captured the town during the Peninsular War. Finally, you will visit the medieval castle and enjoy the remarkable views from the medieval bridge and the Chapel of Santa Ana.
